Welcome to South and West Yorkshire Wing. The Wing encompasses South, West and parts of North and the East Riding of Yorkshire and even parts of North Lincolnshire, giving the Wing the claim to being: "Air Cadets Yorkshire" Latest News from around the Wing:
208 Summer Fayre 208 (North Leeds) Squdron are holding a "Summer Fayre" on the 11th July 2009. The grand opening we be at 12:00, by the Lord Mayor of Leeds. All are welcome.  What Do Air Cadets Do? You name it, there is a good chance there is an Air Cadet somewhere doing it! There are 39 Squadrons within the Wing, with around 1500 Air Cadets. The Wing aim's to provide a stimulating, exciting and varied training program which ensures that all cadets achieve their full potential. Most Squadrons will meet twice a week during which cadets are able to take part in may activities, as well as planning for additional ones. Addition activities are organised by the Wing and beyond by North Region and the Corps. These can take place at RAF bases, camps and even abroad. These tend to be a longer than just a weekend, but the cadets get a lot out of it. Click the pictures for information on the activities on offer: |
